Exodus 35:30-35

God gives gifts in the arts. Exodus 35:30-35 explained,

"And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; And he hath FILLED HIM WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work" (emphasis mine).

Skill in art is as a pianist sitting at the piano eyes closed, knowing keys intuitively. A greatly skilled artist makes immense difficulty seamless.

Their skill motivates some to loose respect, because their work appears effortless. But like a player piano does not require skill needed to be a musician, to copy in art does not require skill needed to be an artist. Grids are exercises as scales are exercises.

Art is as the pianist moving intuitively performing work that is difficult. So it is violation of copyright to copy. To copy misses the value of original work.[1]

God gave gifts in art. The Lord filled Bezaleel with the Spirit of God (Exodus 31:1-2, 35:31). He prepared him to complete implements that would be used in the tabernacle and temple (Exodus 35:30, II Chronicles 5:1). The articles had been anointed strongly. And Uzzah was struck dead as he touched the ark when it was being retrieved from the house of Abinadab (II Samuel 6:3, 6-7).

God considered the ark His (Leviticus 16:2).

False religion which worships devils is condemned (Leviticus 17:7). God threw Dagon down at the place where pagan's offered oracles to the false god (I Samuel 5:4). Philistines confiscated the ark for their purposes. But God abhorred their practices and really cursed the Philistines (I Samuel 5-6). They ended up nearly begging the Jews to get it back (I Samuel 5:6, 6:2, 16).

God's holy glory inhabited work God ordered.
